The Role of Certified Registered Nurse Delegators

My role as a WA State-Certified RND is to support CNAs and Individual Providers (IP) who care for clients in their private homes. I also consult with Adult Family Homes to help them comply with State regulations.
RND plays a crucial role in:
Assessing the client: determines if care will be stable and predictable.
Determining if delegation is required.
Teaching the CNA or IP the nursing task to be delegated.
Evaluating the CNA/IP's performance of the task to ensure safety.
Supervising the workers' task performance on an ongoing basis.
Supervising the client's condition.
